The Company was founded in 1963 with the name of TELITALIA. The name TELWIN ("TELitalia Welding International") will come in the 1980s, to emphasize the company's drive towards internationalization.

Always forerunners in the creation of new markets, we boast numerous patents and a history rich in innovation.

THE SPARK OF INNOVATION

Telwin’s history begins with the launch of “TLP 130” (later “FUTURA”), the first compact electrode welding machine designed for the semi-professional and do-it-yourself market, which creates a specific segment (CONSUMER) in the world of welding. Since then, the company's entrepreneurial and innovative drive has never stopped.

60s - the Birth

Telitalia was founded in 1963 as manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, transformers, systems, electrical material and welding machines. The launch of "FUTURA" will determine the opening of a new market segment.

70s - the Develop

Telitalia establishes itself as a European leader in the welding sector and enters the charging & starting world. The company is among the first to obtain the prestigious TÜV-GS certification.

80s - the statement

In 1982 Telitalia becomes TELWIN (TELitalia Welding International). “MINIMAX”, the first semi-professional wire welder that conquers the extra-European market, is born. “INVERTARC 100” is the first Telwin inverter electrode welder.

90s - the quality

The “Home of Welding”, Telwin's new HQs, is born. The company is among the first in Italy to obtain the ISO:9001 certification. Telwin reaches all 5 continents for over 100 markets (80% export). Greater diffusion of inverter technology in the product offer with the “Tecnica”, “Technology”, “Digital Spotter” ranges.

2000s - Technological development

The Home of Welding expands and becomes the largest European industrial and research center in the sector. The innovative thrust continues thanks to an R&D with 25 specialized engineers and technicians. The company is among the first in Italy to obtain OHSAS 18001 certification. Telwin products are approved by the most important car manufacturers.

2010s - innovation / R&D

The worldwide affirmation continues: Telwin is now present in over 120 countries and 2 branches are opened in China and Brazil. Innovation is confirmed as the strategic lever of the company by introducing the JOIN THE INNOVATION payoff. Launch of major Hi-Tech solutions including Wave OS, advanced welding arcs and Pulse Tronic for charging.

2020s - Go further

Telwin embraces the LEAN logic in its organizational and production approach. The company obtains UNI EN ISO 14001 certification. Product innovations and international patents continue. New offer dedicated to Automation and Industry 4.0.
